Big congrats to Established, Fortitude Coffee, Brew Lab, Bean & Bud, Spring Espresso, The Attic/Harlequin, Laynes Espresso, The Plan, Colonna & Small’s, Brew House and Small Street Espresso for their inclusion in The Telegraph’s Best 30 Coffee Shops list. And to Espressini, Coffee Aroma, Mokoko, Liberty Coffee and the other Indy Coffee Guide venues which topped The Sunday Times’ Top 25 Coffee Shops in the UK.

UKBC hits Bristol

We’ll be spending Valentine’s Day with some of the South West’s slickest brew buffs as the 2017 UK Barista Champs kick off in Bristol.

Our friends over at Beyond the Bean will be hosting the Southern heats at Paintworks on February 14, before throwing a birthday bash to celebrate its big two-zero in the evening. Secure your place on the dancefloor here.

Ever wondered what happens to the mighty bean between the coffee farm and the coffee cup? Bristol’s Extract Coffee is teaming up with The Sustainable Restaurant Association to uncover the coffee bean’s journey from origin to cafe with a roastery tour and panel session on February 23. Meet the producer 

Don’t miss the chance to meet the man behind the beans as Glen Lyon Coffee welcomes Diego Robelo of Costa Rica’s renowned Aquiares Estate to the Aberfeldy roastery on February 24.

Covering topics from sustainability and certification through to processing methods and social responsibility, the talk will kick off at 5pm followed by informal drinks.
